Great location to stay, but maybe not for a longer period. The room was super clean, the bed comfy enough for us, the shower had pressure and in addition to regular wall sockets, there were USB "ports" as well, for charging your devices.

Great value and great location. I liked the minimalist design aspects and minimalist approach to accomodations. Kabin had what I needed. The room was simple but was designed so well that it felt huge compared to our last hotel. Though the staff were great, the accommodations, logistics of keyless entry and the app were all so well thought out that you really don't need the staff. But when you do, they're exceedingly friendly and helpful. Lastly, the proximity of the other KABIN properties was really useful.

Very clean, very comfortable. Staff were always helpful and offered suggestions and answers to my questions. One lovely young lady even organised a dentist for me. But a special shout out to Shafiq who helped me numerous times. Really liked the shower.

The room we had was “spacious” for Japan. It had cupboard to store clothes etc. bathroom was also spacious. We stayed 5 nights and the stay was great. They have a shared laundry machine you may operate. Instead we outsourced to a local company that came to pick up and returned our clothes cleaned the next day. The french receptionist was really helpful to coordinate this. The next day we had another gentleman at the front desk from Canada that was also helpful in giving restaurant suggestions. So the service was excellent.

The staff was great* when I arrived before my time and let me use the luggage storage. There are 3 hotel with the same brand in the same street, and each provides something different but you can use them - ie I used the laundry from another KABIN. The location is great, super convenient to go to the market street and even to Gion if you feel like it. The room is spacious and comfortable.

It was a decent size - comfortable with enough space to layout 2 cabin sized luggage and still have enough space to move around in. The location was excellent - a 5 to 15 min walk to most places you would want to visit in Kyoto. We didn’t take public transport once while we were there!

Staying at KABIN Machi was a great move. It is located in the heart of the Kyoto/Gion district which is where we wanted to be. This allowed us to travel to other destinations within the surrounding prefectures as we were also very close to the local train system. Kyoto is a mecca for tourist spots and we took advantage of this by hiring a local guide to help us around on one of our 'tourist' days. We have used Javier previously and again he didn't let us down. Kyoto is a fun and exciting palace to visit - 4 days was just enough time.

Kabin Machi was our best accommodation in whole Japan (we stayed in 6 different hotels with the similar ratings, but this one is not comparable at all!). The hotel looks new, very stylish and spotless clean.The shower was finally normal, not the small one where you can barely turn. Everything was exactly same as on pictures. In addition, we really enjoyed centrally located neighborhood with 2min walk to good bakery, coffee places and great Italian style pizza place (when we craved some dough 😅). Therefore we highly recommend this property!

Great staff, super helpful. The hotel is small and tucked away on a quiet street but do not let that fool you - the rooms provide ample space and everything is really well kept. The bed was comfortable, the shower was spacious and luxurious. We were able to get luggage shipped to and from their sister hotel around the corner, KABIN Taka. We loved the location as we were a quick 5 minute walk to Nishiki Market and the high street. The closest station is also not too far away.
